We are currently targeting an experienced Procurement and Logistics professional to join this globally recognized manufacturer in a key analytical role.
 
Reporting directly to the Global Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for providing accurate information and analysis on the company's inventory and purchasing activities and generating reports to optimize inventory holdings to enable appropriate business improvement decisions.  You will also be responsible for reviewing systems and implementing analytical tools that utilize the companies ERP system (Vantage) to support the provision of accurate inventory analysis.  This will be facilitated by your ability to develop and understand the ERP system as well as developing and managing reporting tools to provide the information required to optimally manage the company's inventory holdings.
 
Key to your success in this role will be your ability to communicate the results of your detailed analysis at executive level as well as influencing key decision makers on maintaining and potentially reducing inventory levels depending on demand and deleting obsolete stock.  This will be enabled by your ability to manage data integrity and produce accurate and detailed reports.
 
To be considered for this position you will possess:
 
  • Strong understanding of inventory analysis in a manufacturing environment
  • High computer literacy including an advanced and comprehensive knowledge of excel reporting tools.
  • Significant experience in an inventory analysis/management role within a global or multi site operation.
? An ability to display experience associated with high level Procurement reporting such as supplier /buyer performance dashboards, maverick spend, benefits realization, PO purchases or equivalent reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data and justify inventory management recommendations
  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain or inventory management would be highly desirable
